Market Manager, Industrial & CMS
Responsibilities of Position:
This position is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the specific market segment(s) for which he or she is responsible. Specifically analyzes market trends, determines customer requirements, and sets the priorities for engineering, leads the new product development teams including managing the VOC and QFD process. Responsible for conducting industry, product/program training of the sales force, competitive analysis, sales programs and new product launch activities, Holds P&L responsibility for the company’s general purpose, industrial, specialties, CMS and Other product categories. Develops pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share, develops literature and advertising materials and establishes trade show objectives, direction and participation. Responsible for the development of the strategic and annual plans for his/her market segment(s). He/she is also responsible for updating the forecast on a monthly basis. Works closely with customers on strategic development projects and non-operating issue resolution in timely fashion. Position requires approximately 30% to 40% travel.

Corporate Account Manager
Responsible for achieving their assigned annual revenue plan in alignment with the overall Corporate Account Strategy of Market penetration supported by Betco branded or private brand chemical and equipment product lines primarily through the jan/san channel.
RESULTS AND EXPECTATIONS: other duties may be assigned as needed by the VP Corporate Accounts.
- Primary responsibility is to grow business through the development of new and existing Corporate Account relationships targeted at the Retail Food/Non-Food, Retail Building Service Contractors, Commercial Building Service Contractors, and Convenience Retailers
- Achieve the assigned annual revenue plan, which supports the Market Focus of Retail Food/Non-Food, Retail Building Service Contractors, Commercial Building Service Contractors, and Convenience Retailers
- Identification and secure contracts with end user accounts supporting the Market Focus (measurement: target list and activity against the list)
- Collect, submit and confirm all Business Development Information regarding preparation of a quote/bid for a potential customer.
- Utilizing CRM capture (enter) all activity, Call and Result and Competitor Information in alignment with the sales strategy (measure: target list and activity against the list in CRM)
- Conduct Business Reviews with current end user base semi-annually to review current buying trends and continue to sell the “bundle”.
- Achieve the expense budgets within the Division Plan.
- Responsible for executing the pricing strategies within the Contracts for their respective end-user accounts on a timely basis.
- Responsible for executing the promotion programs delivered by Marketing to the sales organization.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Business with sales emphasis 7 – 10 years experience in progressive sales management
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (knowledge of Pivot Tables preferred)
- Proficient in Call tracking/Reporting Software
- Conceptual sales skills (desire / ability to sell a concept, in addition to a tangible product)
- Financial and analytical skills, with the understanding P&L and the financial implications of customers situations and concern
- Presentation Capabilities
This individual will be responsible for managing Betco business with distributors in the assigned region, including chemical, equipment, process and programs. Individual is responsible for the growth of all product categories and for handling all questions and training for distributors as well as end users in the assigned region.
A Bachelors Degree in sales, business or related area preferred with five plus years of direct industry sales experience or facilities experience desired. Experience calling on distributors, as well as a proven track record for sales growth in assigned region or territory.
Conducts research and experimentation for such purposes as product and process development and application. Provide technical assistance when needed and direct activities of technicians and specialists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Self directed and able to conduct projects with minimal supervision.
- Direct activities of technicians and specialists.
- Provide recommendations to QC, QA, and manufacturing concerning test procedures, result or manufacturing instructions.
- Develop new formulations as requested.
- Modify existing formulations as requested.
- Provide technical assistance to Betco personnel, distributors, end users, government officials and medical personnel.
- Bring new technology to Betco through vendor meetings, trade journals and seminars.
- Review literature such as tech sheets, labels and MSDS’s for accuracy.
- Approve new and alternate raw materials.
- Participate in training seminars, team meetings, and development meetings.
- Conduct tour groups through the laboratory.
- Conduct field testing when necessary.
- Develop new test methods when necessary.
- Work with other departments to complete projects.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment.
The R&D Engineer will be responsible for supporting and managing the development and/or design of existing and/or new company products with minimal supervision. This position will require someone with technical innovation as well as technical skills and leadership in project management, design, analysis and testing of new and existing products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
- Ownership over an entire engineering project/product design and development
- Overall technical design responsibility for developing new products
- Responsible for the feasibility of new product concepts and modifications to existing products.
- Responsible for establishing product specification, including details pertinent for product functional requirements, regulatory considerations and marketing/sales considerations.
