    We are pleased to announce that Jason Walton has been promoted to Senior Director of Sales for Basic Coatings®, a fully-owned subsidiary of Betco®. Jason joined Betco in 2022 as Director of Sales. In this role, he was primarily responsible for developing Betco sales in the southern United States region. Prior to joining Betco, Jason worked in the wood floor business at 2 major companies.

    “Jason’s sales leadership and past experience in the wood floor industry has made him the best choice to lead the Basic Coatings sales team to success,” Jeff Sloan, Senior Vice President of Sales, said. “During his time with Betco, he has continuously taken on increased responsibilities with ease. I look forward to seeing his accomplishments with the Basic Coatings sales team.”

    In conjunction, Jim Owen has been promoted to Product and Market Manager at Basic Coatings. Since beginning with Basic Coatings 7 years ago, Jim has developed his knowledge base around the intricacies of wood floor refinishing, especially gym floors.

    “Jim’s new role will include responsibility for new product development and marketing programs,” Barrett Betz, Vice President of Marketing, said. “His knowledge and outside-the-box thinking qualifies him as an excellent addition to the Marketing Team.”

  • Vince Patrignani Joins Betco® Marketing Team

    Vince Patrignani has joined the Betco® Marketing Team as Director of Laundry and Warewash. He is responsible for the growth and development of the laundry and warewash product category. Vince leads the innovative strategy to enhance the quality, efficiency, and overall performance of laundry and warewash solutions.

    Vince comes to Betco with over 2 decades of experience in laundry, warewash, and hard surface cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection, serving a wide variety of industries. His experience makes him a well-rounded and valuable member on the Marketing Team.

    Vince resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his wife of over 35 years, Kathy, and their two daughters, Victoria and Camille. In his free time, he enjoys rooting for Pittsburgh sports and Penn State football.

  • Betco® Welcomes Kellen Lenihan to Sales Team

    Kellen Lenihan joins the Betco® Sales Team as Regional Sales Director for the Mountain West region. He is responsible for the execution of Betco’s sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share within his region, which includes Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah. Kellen is most looking forward to helping grow the West division through all the exciting opportunities and innovations that Betco has created.

    Kellen has worked in the janitorial and sanitation industry for the past 10 years as a distributor sales rep. He has experience as an equipment specialist and a laundry/warewash specialist as well. He will bring current relationships with end users to his new role.

    Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Kellen currently resides in Denver, Colorado, where he played college basketball. He loves to golf and enjoys watching all sports. He is also a proud new dad to a beautiful 5-month-old girl.

  • Ed Zello Hired as Director of Skin Care

    Betco® welcomes Ed Zello to the Marketing Team. He has accepted the position of Director of Skin Care, responsible for enhancing Betco’s hand hygiene program and the development of strategic innovation plans to grow category share.

    Ed comes to Betco with over 30 years of consumer-packaged goods and business-to-business marketing experience. He worked in multiple marketing roles at a chemical and consumer goods company, specifically responsible for hand soap, air fresheners, soft scrub cleansers, and laundry detergent. During his tenure, Ed launched the first and number-one selling foam soap in the United States retail market, plus an award-winning commercial hand hygiene dispensing system. Most recently, Ed spent 5 years in sales as National Accounts Director. As our new Director of Skin Care, he looks forward to leveraging his experience into dynamic growth at a commercially focused company with such a positive team culture.

    Ed resides in Bozeman, Montana, with his wife and 3 children. He loves to hike, cross-country ski, mountain bike, and take canoe trips. Standing at 6 feet, 7 inches, Ed is a former basketball player at Ball State and Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.

  • Mike Klem Accepts Regional Sales Director Position at Betco®

    Betco® is pleased to announce that Mike Klem was hired as Regional Sales Director for the Pittsburgh region. In this position, he will help drive Betco’s growth with distributors and end users within his region.

    Mike’s background includes roles in both distribution and manufacturing in the facility supplies and janitorial/sanitation industries.  Although he has worked with all types of distributors and end users, he has spent a lot of his time in the healthcare and education segments specifically. With Mike’s industry experience of 28 years, he is poised to bring new ideas and strategies to further elevate the efforts of our sales team.

    Mike resides in the Youngstown, Ohio, area and enjoys collecting, showing, and judging classic cars. He is also a certified Master Beekeeper. Mike and his wife have a daughter and a grandson.

    Jaclyn Helminiak has accepted a Corporate Account Manager position, in which she plays a major role with Betco’s national distribution partners and leads the prescription of product design and training development for her customers. Jaclyn works with her accounts to design the best programs to maximize revenue into their end-use customers.

    Jaclyn has over 11 years of experience in the cleaning industry, working in numerous sales roles for major manufacturing companies. Her most recent tenure was working for 2 years in a marketing role. Jaclyn is looking forward to getting back to the sales side of the business with Betco.

    Jaclyn graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in marketing and currently lives in Waterville, Ohio. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with her 12-year-old Havanese dog, rooting for the Buckeyes, and pretending she can golf.

In this role, he is responsible for building key long-term partnerships on a national and regional scale across the United States. He will work closely with major clients to understand their strategic goals and business needs, ensuring that the cleaning and maintenance products and services offered by Betco align effectively to save labor and achieve outstanding results.

    Brian spent 12 years in Betco sales prior to his recent tenure at a facility maintenance provider. He is a 3-time Betco Pacesetter award winner, reflecting his dedication and passion for the janitorial and sanitation industry.

    “I’m looking forward to working with all my past and new colleagues at Betco,” Brian said. “It’s a family here, and everyone pulls for each other.”

    In his free time, Brian enjoys skiing, playing hockey, and being with his family and 2 children. He’s also won a swing dancing contest in the past (a long story that requires a beer).

  • Operations Organizational Changes

    We are pleased to announce some organizational changes within Operations at Betco®:

    Matt Luchansky

    Matt Luchansky, formerly Senior Chemist, has moved to Operations and Manufacturing Manager. He will manage all aspects of manufacturing, operations, and scheduling. With 11 years at Betco, we are confident he will be able to move the business in a positive direction.

    Gary Lewandowski

    Gary Lewandowski, formerly Maintenance Manager, has taken on a new title as Site Manager. He will also lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety department. Gary has been a part of Betco for 11 years. His safety and environmental experience make him a huge asset to the department.

    Chris Magill

    Chris Magill, formerly Maintenance Supervisor, will assume all responsibility for the maintenance team as the Senior Maintenance Supervisor. He has worked with Betco for 5 years and has proven to be a successful leader.

  • Manny Chan Joins Betco® Sales Team

    Manny has over 23 years of experience in distribution and manufacturing, selling to many different channels which include janitorial and sanitation and food service. Throughout his career, he has served in leadership roles in sales, category management, and marketing. Manny has worked hard to provide customer solutions, build strong partnerships, and drive sales and growth. This experience will greatly benefit him in this role.

    Manny resides in the Chicago area with his wife and daughter. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and staying active.

  • Betco® Hires 3 New Facilities Solution Specialists

    We welcome Jack Collins, Werner Ramirez, and Brandon Dornak to the Betco Sales Team! They have accepted roles as Facilities Solution Specialists, serving end users in their respective territories across the United States.

    Jack Collins

    Jack Collins joins Betco with an award-winning career in sales and marketing management, previously working with some of the biggest names in the janitorial and sanitation industry. He covers Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island territories. Jack looks forward to positioning himself and Betco as the primary source for cleaning processes and product solutions for end-use customers. Residing in Milford, Massachusetts, Jack enjoys bass fishing, photography, skiing, Boston sports, and cooking up a barbecue fest for friends and family.

    Werner Ramirez

    Werner Ramirez has 15 years of experience working in the chemical, janitorial, and sanitation industries, both in the manufacturing and distribution sides of the business. His territory is northern California and Reno, Nevada, where he will work hard to contribute to Betco’s growth in those areas. Werner resides in San Jose, California, with his daughters, who are 10 and 13. Outside of Betco, he is a musician and has played the bass and piano for 25 years. He also recently got into cycling and likes to road bike.

    Brandon Dornak

    Brandon Dornak is based in Grapevine, Texas, where he primarily covers north Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth area and assists in San Antonio, Austin, and Houston, Texas. His background is in laundry, warewashing, and equipment sales. Brandon also has experience in food and safety solutions. In this new role, Brandon looks forward to growing distributor partnerships and deepening relationships by providing needed stability and consistency in the Texas market. In his free time, Brandon loves to hunt and build custom gaming and mining PCs.

  • Newly Redesigned FastDraw PRO®: More Convenient Than Ever Before!

    The FastDraw PRO® is a staple in our dilution control and chemical management program, providing fast and accurate dispensing of up to 4 chemical concentrates into bottles, buckets, and auto scrubbers. Recently, the FastDraw PRO underwent a series of design changes aimed at increasing convenience and ease of use:

    • It’s smaller and lighter, requiring 37% less wall space and 32% lighter than the original.
    • A stronger vacuum offers a more consistent draw than the original.
    • A longer 8’ discharge hose makes it easier to fill auto scrubbers for more flexibility.
    • A new, intuitive selector dial allows users to more easily select a product for dilution.
    • A mounting template allows for quick and easy installation.
    • Quick access to internal parts for maintenance or repair.

    Simply select a chemical by pressing the corresponding number. Lift the bottle up on the short hose for easy one-hand dispensing. To fill a bucket or auto scrubber, push the “Mop Bucket Fill” button at the top, and product will flow from the long hose. The bucket fill can be locked in position for hands-free dispensing. Over 40 tried and tested Betco products are available for use in the dispenser.

    Mount this FastDraw PRO on the wall or in the corner, just like the old one, to save space in tight janitorial closets. To increase safety, a hidden drip tray catches accidental discharge of product, and a single locking door prevents theft and tampering.

  • Betco® Hires Roger Alvarez as Regional Sales Director

    Please join us in welcoming Roger Alvarez to the Betco® Sales Team. Roger has taken the position of Regional Sales Director for Florida. He joins with over 20 years of sales experience in the distribution channel realm and 15+ years of manufacturing experience within several market segments and industries.

    “I look forward to growing Betco’s market share and sales volume through distribution channels in multiple industry segments while also developing direct end-user relations,” Roger said. “I’m looking to share my experience and insights while providing guidance and support to achieve maximum sales growth.”

    Roger has been married for 29 years to his wife, Annie, and they have 2 children, Angel and Ashley. In his free time, Roger likes to boat, camp, and fish.

    Greg Gangelhoff to Regional Sales Director – Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa

    Greg joined Betco in October 2002 and is a four-time Pacesetter award recipient. His product knowledge and participation in training videos have made him a valuable asset to the Betco brand.

    Mike Jacobs to Regional Sales Director – Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas

    Mike has been with Betco since February 1996. During his time here, he earned the Pacesetter award 5 times and the John Reed award once. He is a mentor to others, a team player, and a subject matter expert for all things Betco.

    Greg Maxwell to Regional Sales Director – Michigan and northern Ohio

    Greg joined Betco in October 2001 and holds 3 Pacesetter award titles and has won the John Reed award. He is the true embodiment of a player-coach as demonstrated through his prior role as Senior Regional Manager. Greg seeks to understand processes, products, and procedures before training others.

    Steve Hanneke to Regional Sales Director – Louisiana and Mississippi.

    Steve has been with Betco since March 1994. Steve is a dedicated salesperson with many customer relationships that have stood the test of time. He is an asset to our customer base and is seen as a category builder. Additionally, Steve is a four-time Pacesetter award recipient and a John Reed award winner.
